This page is a collection of  various photos that I find interesting. This is a Praying Mantis on my driveway. It is amazing at about 4 inches long. A friend of mine saw one that was about 7 inches long. And, it flies, too. I have never seen one of these before. These are migrating Monarch butterflies. I counted about 20 in this picture. There were hundreds of them in this flower patch. When you walked by, they all flew around, then landed again. They are sharing the flowers with at least 6 honey bees and bumble bees. This is a young hawk sitting on the fence where I work. He was very patient as I drove up close to get a picture. I was about one car length away using 10X zoom. Beautiful bird. Busy as a bee on Mackinac Island. This helicopter was moving air conditioning units to the roof a Target store. He was just above me. Nice stop action on the blades. This is a once in a lifetime picture of my daughter in the window. I burned the edge of the picture and decoupaged it onto wood. No explanation on this... Sailing on the Gulf of Mexico the day after Christmas.
